Hello to all green smoothiers!

Hello to all green smoothiers!
How are you all getting on with your green smoothies? We have had some great feedback, some more weird and wonderful new recipes (found by accident but tasting great), some disheartened people and lots of good questions! …. Exactly what we expected!
This is what we are here for! If you start to feel disheartened by the greens, on the verge of quitting or need a bit of encouragement to get back on track…call or email us! We are all encouraging each other here at County Chiropractic - it’s difficult to take part in any ‘challenge’ without encouragement!
We have found a few teething problems, which I am sure many of you have found - chunky bits in the smoothie that just won’t blend, smoothies that are too think, too thin, too bitter, too sweet, too much… etc etc Trial and error is key! Everyone is different – some have more of a sweet tooth than others, some love kale, some hate it etc etc….
Our advice is to change the greens that you put in, the quantities of each green or fruit and the amount of water you use. If you are finding the kale too harsh, for example, cut the stalks off and just use the leaves. If you are finding it too bitter, use less and more of something else.
You WILL find the green smoothie that you love to drink, that you wake up looking forward to in the morning! Just keep going!
Here at County Chiropractic we have been finding the amount of kale a bit overwhelming and we have had a bit of feedback from other people agreeing, so some of you will be very glad to know that this week’s box, we have swapped 1 bag of kale for 1 bag of Chinese leaves. Keep going!
Good luck! And please contact either Rachael, Lucy or Violetta if you have any questions, need any advice or you would just like a chat and to compare notes or to share a new fantastic recipe you have come across!
Best wishes
Lucy

Well Underway!

I am so happy that most people are finding the smoothies easy, delicious and feeling the health benefits already!
I have had a couple of questions arise and I'm happy for you all to contact me anytime. Please remember if you feel you need to reduce the amount of greens until you get used to them, that's fine just write it in your diary. And if your blender isn't quite up to scratch if you take the leaves right off the stalks. You might get a better consistency without stalks.
If you keep your greens sealed in the polythene bags they come in from Rod and Ben's the condensation will keep them fresh.
This wednesday the 24th March is when we will be getting the Braunton people up and running so please contact me if you would like to join us in North Devon. You can email me at greenthursdaycc@gmail.com
